Whereabouts

You are part of the top athletes selected by the AFLD for doping controls ? Tell us where you are !

Why this ?

Athletes designated by the AFLD and that integrate the Registered Testing Pool (RTP) are among the best in their sport or discipline at national or international level.

Thanks to the information entered in this database relating to athlete whereabouts, out-of-competition and in-competition anti-doping controls can be diligent from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m..

The whereabouts device is now the only way to ensure fair sport and establishing a climate of confidence in the sports world. That is why we strive to provide guidance and to facilitate the procedure to athletes so that they accept the necessary constraints.

Who, when and how ?

Athletes may be affected are :

  • Those on the list of top athletes or on the list of top young athletes (liste Espoir) under Sport’s code, or athletes that have been registered on one of these lists at least one year during the last three years;
  • Sports professionnals from an accredited sport federation or have been professionnals at least one year during the last three years;
  • Athletes who have been subject to a disciplinary sanction on the basis of Articles L. 232-9, L. 232-10 and L. 232-17 in the last three years.

An international rule

Rules on whereabouts information are part of the Standard for Testing and Investigations (ISTI). Whereabouts obligation is therefore a global approach that covers all International Sports Federations (IFs) and National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs).

WADA is not involved in the constitution of the RTP. It is for each International Federation to select athletes subject to these provisions internationally and each NADO create a national target sports Registered Testing Pool. Thus, the AFLD is fully autonomous in selecting athletes to include in its RTP.
